- Legal Career. From 1986 through 1999, I engaged in the practice of law eventually specializing in tax litigation. The highlight of this period was the six years at DOJ.
- Government Service: 1989-1995: U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division, Washington D.C.--advanced to senior trial attorney GS-15.
- The last litigation matter I handled involved an appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit where I obtain a reversal of the IRS judgment at the trial level. It would have been nice to go out with a win but all glory is fleeting. This case was eventually lost on remand to the trial court.
