    Comment: Hi, Thank you for your collection of favorite quotes. Many of them are inspiring. May I please ask, do you know the source of the Bruce Lee quote - I can not train you, only help you to explore yourself- It's a great quote, but I can't track down an original source. Just checking, thanks for your time.

    Comment: I'm fairly certain the quote ("explore yourself") comes from Bruce's book, Tao of Jeet Kune Do. It's very reminiscent of the ancient saying from Greek philosophy: "Know thyself". Both tell the student the only path to enlightenment is within.

    The second quote on the list ("Be water my friend") comes from a 1971 interview Bruce Lee gave to Pierre Berton in Hong Kong. They are available on youtube and I highly recommend them. See below in three parts (quote found in 2nd part).


    At the 4:45 mark of the first segment, Bruce says "All type of knowledge ultimately equals self-knowledge." This is the same point as the quote ("explore yourself") said a different way IMHO.
