Comment: So Joe, what are your credentials as a hand-writing "expert"? Oh wait, you don't have any: "In my opinion, there are serious discrepancies between these two signatures. The easy one in the pronounced upward slope of the first name (Deborah) in Signature 1 while it is almost flat in Signature 2. Let's move on to the initial "D" of the signature."
You're looking for something that's not there. I was a member of her defense team, and I can tell you she was suicidal. She forwarded those of us on the defense team this missive on February 28th of this year so we weren't under any illusions:
"Jason… let’s put it like this, the bastards aren’t going to take me alive. Of course, anytime that you want to do an interview – I will make myself available. However, I doubt that I will be doing any interviews once I am in D.C., for the trial. –Best, Jeane"
Quit speculating about things you have no real knowledge of.

Comment: So Matt, let me get this straight. You're not a lawyer. You're a blogger, self-promoter. Nothing wrong with that, just be up front about it. Ms. Palfrey had appointed defense counsel so, if you were a researcher on her defense team, that means you were an unpaid hanger on ... maybe. You're in Indiana, the defense team was based in DC. You performed unpaid "research" from Indiana? Factual research? Legal research? Do you have any credentials at all? And this qualifies you for the condescending, sanctimonious, flaming post above? Hey, it's a free country. I've been a lawyer for over 20 years and was a civil DOJ trial lawyer based in Washington, DC for 6 of those years (reaching GS-15). Does it make me a handwriting expert? No. Are you a handwriting expert? No. You could very well be right that nothing is there. However, I'd like to see an independent expert analyze that two page note. This harms no one. The drivel about respecting the dead woman and her family is beyond the pale. It is the height of respect to take a death seriously and not to jump to conclusions. Be thorough, conscientious.
And about the alleged Palfrey email. A quick search on the net turned up this post you made on another blog: ladybroadoak.blogspot.com wherein we find out the email wasn't sent to you but, rather, allegedly to Jason Leopold. Below are quotes about Mr. Leopold from a Washington Post article:

Oh, and by the way, Leopold says he engaged in "lying, cheating and backstabbing," is a former cocaine addict, served time for grand larceny, repeatedly tried to kill himself and has battled mental illness his whole life. Link
Mr. Leopold is not exactly a rock solid source. Look, I have no problem with disagreement. But I'm not a fan of flamers. Just come in and rationally state your objections to the blog post supported by facts without all the vinegar and puff of your stature. I stand by my comments about the inconsistencies in the signatures found on pages 1 and 2 of the supposed suicide note.

Comment: The first 'D' was written at the top-middle (comfortable) portion of the page. The other 'D' was written at the bottom-right portion of the page. I believe the right-leaning gravity on the 2nd 'D' is due to the angle of her wrist. The rest of her handwriting at the bottom of the page seems to agree with that hypothesis.
...but I agree that these letters are suspicious. I'm convinced she was murdered. I'm convinced that these letters were either (partially) forged, or written under duress.

Comment: Do most people sign their suicide notes with their first and last name, when the note is intended for their family or friends? Also, that was an obvious forgery. Deborah would not have apologized for prostitution, she felt she was innocent. She was going to appeal going to federal prision, she still even had a chance of having her sentence commuted. Libby did..remember? And now the official line is she didn't have any other "names". Yeah, right.

Comment: Thanks for the comment Indigogirl. Here is one of the most bizarre elements of the alleged suicide note that I did not take the time to comment upon in the original post.
This is from page 2. She signs her first name (only first name) in the girlish semi-printing style of page 2 on the left. Then, right next to it on the same page for some unknown reason signs her entire name in the more normal script of the signature similar to the signature on page 1. Why sign the same page twice for your family? They know who Debbie is, no? Why are the two signatures so completely dissimilar on the same page?

Comment: The US Government psychologically tortured Deborah Jeane Palfrey to the point of suicide, (in other words to the point of murder).
From an international human rights point of view she was totally innocent.
Why did the US Government do such a thing to her? So they could steal her assets and life savings and claim everything was done legally.
Deborah worked hard for her money, she was an intelligent, successful and hard working business woman.
In her 52 years of existence she never hurt one soul, she was a sweet and beautiful person.
Every single government official involved with her case (or torture) have her blood on their hands.
The US government basically murdered her just so they could steal her money.
Only a very cruel government could do such a thing.
