Convincing analysis--good work on finding that book. I always find it amusing that some professors have this habit of slipping into confident conclusions with a very limited amount of practical experience (or even logic).

Thanks for the comment Peter. Extremely provident that I found a copy of the exact volume of the 1977 Israel Exploration Journal that I needed on eBay.

So, the tomb of Antigonus has not been found. The tomb that has been found is that of Abba who was a priest. Are you saying, after Antony assassinated Antigonus, Abba helped with a proper burial?

Yes! It appears Abba took the body with him to Babylon (i.e., Baghdad), which is outside the Roman Empire in Parthia (an ally of Antigonus). Then returned to bury the bones in the tomb @ Jerusalem many years later after Herod died.
