 US does not torture but CIA must be legally allowed to torture? Speaking in Panama today, President Bush declared, "We Do Not Torture". Obviously, VP Dick Cheney did not get the memo. Per the Washington Post, he has been vigorously lobbying the Senate not to investigate torture by the US military and, also, to exempt the CIA from an anti-torture bill sponsored by Sen. John McCain. Dick, relax, listen to your president. The US does not torture so there is no need for a CIA exemption nor will the Senate find anything if it investigates, right? 11-7-2005. Add Comment Permalink
