 A Funny Thing Happened ... at the Republican debate in South Carolina, somebody told the truth! Rudy Giuliani was appalled. Fox News apoplectic. "Rep. Ron Paul recite[d] the reasons for Arab and Islamic resentment of the United States, including 10 years of bombing and sanctions that brought death to thousands of Iraqis after the Gulf War." Link. Rep. Paul of Texas was speaking of blowback. The CIA studies it and accepts the premise as real but US politicians, by and large, ignore the consequences of our foreign policy and military actions. We've been bombarded with Bush-speak propaganda for the last 7 years. This departure from reality has become the norm for the entire Republican party.
