McCain Goes Mondale, Panics With Gimmick VP Pick In 1984, Walter Mondale was in trouble going into the Democratic Convention. Attempting to breath life into his listless campaign against Ronald Reagan, Mondale selected little-known Congresswoman Geraldine Ferraro of New York to be his running mate. What were Geraldine's qualifications to be vice-president? Well, she was young, attractive, a mother, and had been elected to something. The ploy didn't work out so well for Walter. He lost in the biggest landslide in US history. Try and convince me Sarah Palin is not the new Geraldine Ferraro. Yeah, I didn't think so. 08/29/2008. Add CommentPermalink
Update: Check this out. The woman doesn't even know what the job of vice president of the United States is. This hockey mom is in way, way over her head.
