  • Something Stinks In Texas  Riddle me this batman: how does Barack Obama kick Hillary's ass in the Texas caucuses while Mrs. Clinton wins by 4% in the Texas primary conducted on the same day? How is that possible, a 16% swing on the same day? Link. Surely we cannot blame this anomaly on a Hillary crying spell as was the case in New Hampshire. Here is what I think is going on: Republicans whose primary race is already locked up by McCain are crossing party lines voting for Clinton in the democratic primary. It's rather easy to do. Once at the polling station, simply ask for a democratic ballot rather than a republican one. Don't take my word for it. "Rush Limbaugh claimed at least partial credit today for Hillary Clinton's victories in Texas and Ohio. Limbaugh spent much of his show Monday exhorting Republican listeners to cross over and vote in the Democratic primary for Hillary Clinton to prevent Democrats from unifying around Barack Obama." Chicago Sun Times. Why would the cross-over republicans vote in the primary and not the caucus? It's a whole other kettle of fish. There are reports voters waited for up to three hours just to register and get in the door to a caucus location. See Long lines at caucuses. And, horror of all horrors, the democratic caucuses were reported to be swarming with minorities. I ask, could any self-respecting Limbaugh Republican suffer three hours in such a crowd?

The Limbaugh crowd fears Obama but is quite comfortable with Hillary Clinton. She grew up in a conservative Chicago family and supported Barry Goldwater as a younger woman. Strip away the socialized healthcare and abortion canards and her policies are amazingly similar to those of George W. Bush. Birds of a feather flock together. Hillary proclaims a surge of support on national television. But it's only Rush Limbaugh putting his fat foot on the scale creating the illusion of sentiment tilting her way.  03/05/2008.   Add Comment Permalink

Update: According to this article, it is a felony in Ohio to vote in the democratic primary when you are in fact a republican. Did Rush Limbaugh encourage his listeners in Ohio to commit a felony? Sure sounds like it. A large county in Ohio has launched an investigation of the incident. We can only pray Limbaugh gets indicted. 3-21-08.
